Whether it’s your first time on the ice or you already love to skate, Ice Skate Leicester brings an unforgettable winter experience to the heart of the city.

700m² covered rink

Enjoy a spacious real ice surface beneath a covered marquee, right in Leicester city centre.

Skate hire included

The £4.00 skate rental fee is included in every skating ticket. Hire sizes range from junior J8 to adult size 14. You may bring your own standard skates; speed skates are not permitted.

Festive food & drink

Warm up, refuel and soak up the atmosphere with festive food and drink beside the rink and Leicester’s Big Wheel.

Public skating sessions at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

Season dates

Open daily throughout the season. Closed from Monday 4 January onwards.

Daily opening hours

9.30am–10pm

Doors open at 9.30am for the first 10am skating session. Times may vary by date.

Christmas Eve

Final skating session at 7pm

Relaxed skating sessions

Our calmer relaxed sessions run every Wednesday from 3pm–3.45pm and every Sunday from 11am–11.45am.

Please arrive 20–30 minutes early. Your skating session starts at the time printed on your ticket and does not include the time needed to collect and fit your skates.
